Our History

What began in 1893 as Presbyterian Hospital is now a 29-county health system with 20 hospitals and hundreds of other care sites. The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center is unquestionably the predominant health care provider in the region and a clinical and business innovator renowned worldwide.
