Nursing highlights
The nurses at UPMC South Side work in an advanced community setting. Among the many specialties available to nurses are sports medicine, general and stroke rehabilitation, brain and spinal cord injury, intensive care, cardiac monitoring, medical-surgical, emergency, and perioperative services.
Our nurses are supported in their nursing practice by hospitalist physicians who are available on-site, around the clock, to quickly respond to their concerns and their patients’ needs.
We are transforming our nursing practice to reflect our partnership with patients and their families.
