The surgeons in the UPMC Division of Head and Neck Cancer are experienced in treating patients with salivary gland tumors that develop in the parotid and submandibular salivary glands. Treatment often requires expertise in diagnosis as well as surgical therapy. The surgical therapy is especially complicated because of the relationship of these glands to essential nerves.
The team of experts at the UPMC Salivary Gland Stone and Infection Center are dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with salivary gland pathology and conditions. The Salivary Gland Stone and Infection Center’s team also works to advance the practice of minimally invasive surgical techniques. The center’s physicians provide diagnostic evaluations as well as outpatient surgery for inflammatory conditions of the salivary glands.
