Ear and Hearing Center
The UPMC Ear and Hearing Center is a comprehensive multidisciplinary organization devoted to the evaluation and management of hearing disorders and diseases of the ear. The Ear and Hearing Center provides evaluation and management of routine and complex problems of the ear, hearing, facial nerve, and balance function. The fellowship-trained neurotologists treat disorders such as acute and chronic ear infections, cholesteatoma, sudden hearing loss, acoustic neuroma, tumors of the skull base, and deafness. The most contemporary surgical techniques of hearing rehabilitation including lasers, stereotactic radiosurgery, cochlear implants, and bone anchored hearing devices are utilized when appropriate. The division works closely with the UPMC Center for Audiology and the Center for Balance Disorders to provide comprehensive care of all hearing disorders.
