UPMC Braddock will cease operations on Jan. 31, 2010. Clinical operations at UPMC Braddock will begin shifting to other UPMC facilities next month. The decision to close the hospital was made based on declining community utilization. Read full news release.
Patients will continue to have full access to their physicians – UPMC will be working with the medical staff of UPMC Braddock to be sure there is a smooth transition for them and for their patients over the coming months.
Patients who need emergency services or who have scheduled appointments for services, such as tests or x-rays, still can use the hospital for the time being. UPMC will continue to maintain all patient records, which are available on request by clicking here or by calling 412-636-5087, then selecting “Option 1.”
