We are proud to serve as the region's premier provider of obstetrical and neonatal care. In 2006, nearly 10, 000 births occurred at Magee. Our expertise and leadership has given us the honor of being ranked among the country's best hospitals in U.S. News & World Report in 2007. We've worked hard to earn the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' designation as a National Center of Excellence in Women's Health diligently achieving our status as one of the top-funded academic departments of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive sciences by the National Institutes of Health. All of our efforts are paying off as we make Magee a wonderful place to begin a new life.

We are equally proud of the fact that Magee is the regional referral center for high-risk maternal care for western Pennsylvania. The hospital's neonatal intensive care unit is the largest in Pennsylvania, and treats more than 1,000 seriously or critically ill newborns annually.
