Weekly Parenting Email

As an expectant or new parent, you may wish to take advantage of this FREE weekly email tailored to the stage of your pregnancy or the age of your infant through the first year. This service is powered through the Parent Review. Click here to sign up for the weekly

Education Classes

A comprehensive course of educational classes that covers preparing for pregnancy, to Lamaze-aided childbirth, to infant massage and returning to your pre-pregnant self. Dads, grandparents, support persons, and siblings are invited to participate in classes so they may be an active part of the process. Click here for more information.

Pregnancy Calendar

Magee publishes "A New Beginning," a 12-month pregnancy information and keepsake calendar, which is given to expectant mothers at their first prenatal visit. The calendar includes valuable pregnancy information, a guide to having a baby at Magee, as well as useful information for the postpartum period and adjustment to parenthood. Breastfeeding Support

The certified experts in Magee's Lactation Center are available to answer your questions. Whether during the hospital stay or after discharge, they provide private one-on-one breastfeeding consultation, helping you choose the best breastfeeding options that are right for you.

Postpartum Depression

The experts in the Womancare Behavioral Health Program can provide educational materials and resources to help with the trying times that can be triggered by the hormonal changes of childbirth and the adjustment to parenthood.

Keepsake Memory Book

A custom-printed keepsake memory book titled "My Life as a Baby" is given free of charge to new moms upon discharge as a gift for their babies. Parents can use the book all year long to create a lasting treasure of baby's first year.

Pregnancy and Diabetes Center

The Pregnancy and Diabetes Center provides comprehensive obstetrical care to women with diabetes from preconception through the postpartum period through a wide range of state-of-the-art services in a comfortable environment to help ensure that mother and baby receive the best possible care and give patients the information they need to make informed decisions. Read more 

High-Risk Pregnancy

If your condition requires specialized care, your obstetrician will refer you to Maternal-Fetal Medicine.  This division provides high risk pregnancy services the mother and the baby. Read more

Pregnancy Loss 

Magee’s Medical Social Work Department provides added support during and after your hospital in the event of a loss of pregnancy.  Individual and family consultation, information and referrals are available. A discussion group for pregnancy loss patients and their support persons is held at Magee every other week. Click here for more information.
