Radiology
This rotation is offered to only fourth-year medical students. One student is accepted for each month-long rotation between October and June. This elective will expose the student to a wide variety of diagnostic radiology studies. The ordering of appropriate imaging studies to solve clinical problems will be emphasized. Basics of image interpretation will be covered. Typically, medical students spend one week reviewing plain films, one week in body CT, one week in neuroradiology (CT and MRI), and one week of an elective area. There will be some flexibility to allow individuals to concentrate more time in subspecialty areas. Students work directly with residents, and all areas are under direct faculty supervision.
