Osteopathic Internship
UPMC Mercy, in cooperation with the Lake Erie Consortium for Osteopathic Medical Training, offers an American Osteopathic Association (AOA)-approved traditional rotating internship for graduates of accredited osteopathic medical schools. The internship uses the extensive educational resources of UPMC Mercy’s specialty residency programs to support the required and elective rotations. Interns are taught by experienced faculty, attend a full range of didactic conferences, and interact with senior and junior residents from a variety of specialties.
UPMC Mercy is affiliated with the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University for medical student education. Elective clerkships are available for students from other schools. Prospective interns may wish to familiarize themselves with UPMC Mercy’s educational and clinical offerings by scheduling an elective clerkship.
