UPMC Presbyterian Trauma Center is designated by the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation as an adult Level I regional resource trauma center. The trauma program at UPMC Presbyterian has more than 20 years experience providing state-of-the-art care for patients with severe injuries and other surgical emergencies.
UPMC Presbyterian Trauma Center treats more injured adult patients than any other hospital in the region. The trauma center is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week by the trauma team, led by a trauma attending surgeon. In addition, we have 24-hour access to the full complement of specialists — including neurosurgery, orthopaedics, plastic surgery, facial trauma surgery, vascular surgery, general surgery, and toxicology.
