Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Center
Patients who no longer need the intensity of inpatient physical therapy services in the acute care setting, but still require supervision and rehabilitative services, may be transferred into the Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Center for continuation of their care.
While in the Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Center, Inpatient Physical Therapy continues the patients' established rehabilitation program goals and works towards returning patients to their prior functional levels and living environments with necessary modifications, if needed.

The Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Center is located at UPMC Passavant — McCandless on the fifth floor.
