Womancare Center to partner with Panera Bread for breast cancer awareness
Hermitage, PA — Women who have a mammogram at the Womancare Center of UPMC Horizon during the month of October will get a little something extra — a treat from Panera Bread.
The Womancare Center is teaming up with Panera Bread in Hermitage on “Bagels Against Breast Cancer,” an initiative to promote the importance of regular mammograms, which aid in early diagnosis of breast cancer. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, every woman who schedules a mammogram at the Womancare Center during any weekday in October or the second Saturday of the month will receive a free Panera bagel and a beverage when she comes to the center for her mammogram.
Panera will donate 20 percent of the proceeds from bagels, which will be purchased by UPMC Horizon, to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
For more information about “Bagels Against Breast Cancer,” or to schedule an appointment, call the Womancare Center at 724-347-7700 or toll-free at 1-866-347-7700. The Womancare Center is located at 875 N. Hermitage Road, Hermitage.
