Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic of UPMC

For Families

Our Approach is Not One-Size-Fits-All

COPE (Center for Overcoming Problem Eating) is western Pennsylvania’s only inpatient program dedicated to eating disorders, with appropriate programs for children and adults.

We understand the complexities of eating disorders and the effects they have on patients and their families. That's why we work with each patient to tailor a treatment that fits.

Depending on the patient’s needs, treatment may include day hospital care or more traditional outpatient approaches.

Group and family therapy sessions are also important parts of eating disorders treatment.
