Volunteering at Magee
Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC welcomes volunteers from the community through our Volunteer Aide Corp. Volunteers regularly give of their time and resources to enhance the patient experience and quality of life at Magee. Among the areas in which members volunteer are:
- Labor and Delivery
- Education
- Admitting
- Breast Care Center
- Patient Accounts
- The Children's Center of Pittsburgh
Free parking and meal tickets are provided to volunteers on the day of their service.
Volunteers complete an application, participate in an interview, attend orientation, and receive a health screening before beginning their volunteer assignment. For more information, call 412-641-4185.

Junior Volunteer Program
The Junior Volunteer Program at Magee is a summer program for youths. Junior volunteers are between 14 and 17 years of age as of June 15 and commit to 20 hours of volunteer time over the summer. The program provides young people with exposure to careers in the healthcare field. All junior volunteers complete an application and parental permission form, participate in an interview, attend orientation, and receive a health screening. For more information, call 412-641-4185.
