Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)

UPMC Hamot is one of only a few centers in the U.S. approved to perform innovative TAVR procedures.

Surgeons use TAVR to replace your faulty aortic valve with an artificial one. The minimally invasive technique means no need for a heart-lung machine.
