President, International and Commercial Services Division Executive Vice President, UPMC Cancer Centers
As president of UPMC’s International and Commercial Services Division, Mr. Bogosta is responsible for the expansion of UPMC’s world-class medical care, technology and services to patients and hospitals around the world.
He oversees a broad portfolio of international projects, including ISMETT, a leading transplant hospital in Palermo, Italy; the development of a new biomedical research center in Sicily; management of a private hospital and two advanced cancer treatment centers in Ireland; and emergency medical services in Qatar.
Mr. Bogosta is also executive vice president of UPMC Cancer Centers, a network of more than 40 cancer treatment centers concentrated in western Pennsylvania. This innovative “hub-and-spoke” model allows patients to receive the most advanced cancer care close to home while benefiting from the world-renowned expertise of the specialists at the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Pittsburgh.
Before joining UPMC in 1997, Mr. Bogosta was one of the founding members of Corporate Health Dimensions, an Albany, N.Y., firm specializing in the direct contracting of pharmacies and outpatient clinics for major U.S. companies. He also served as an executive at Health Enterprises Management, which financed and operated freestanding surgery centers and imaging centers.
Mr. Bogosta earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the State University of New York and a Master of Arts in educational administration from Bowling Green University. |
