Joseph C. English, III, M.D., is associate professor of dermatology at the University of Pittsburgh and clinical vice chair for quality and innovation for the Department of Dermatology.
Dr. English's topics of interest include general medical dermatology, cutaneous signs of internal disease, sarcoidosis, connective tissue diseases of the skin and hair and nail disease.
Prior to his arrival in Pittsburgh in Aug. 2003, Dr. English was assistant professor of dermatology at the University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville, Va.. A member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Medical Association, Dermatology Teacher Exchange Group and the Association of Professors of Dermatology, Dr. English has received numerous honors for his work in dermatology and has been published in various medical journals since the beginning of his career.
Dr. English received his medical degree in 1991 from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pa., and completed his residency and was chief resident at Brooke Army Medical Center in Fort Sam Houston, Texas, from 1994 to 1997. |
