Jeffrey S. Falk, M.D., is assistant professor of surgery at Magee-Womens Hospital of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where he specializes brachytherapy and image guided core needle biopsy for breast cancer.
One of Dr. Falk’s primary areas of expertise is MammoSite – a tumor site-specific breast brachytherapy that uses a single balloon catheter to deliver prescribed levels of radiation to targeted tissue surrounding the tumor site.
Dr. Falk received his medical training at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. He completed his postgraduate training in surgery at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Mich and his training in surgical oncology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is a member of several professional associations including the American College of Surgeons Oncology Group, the American Board of Surgery and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
