Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC Offers Cooking Class for Current and Potential Bariatric Surgery Patients

WHAT: Guest chef, Judith Balk, M.D., at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, will host a dinner party for those who have had or are considering bariatric surgery. She will prepare a quick and easy healthy meal while describing the preparation and cooking process. Participants will sample the different foods. Nutritional value of the meal and obstacles in preparing and shopping for healthy food will be discussed. The class is sponsored by Bariatric Lifestyle Program and the dietary department at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC.
