Pharmacies
In order
to effectively serve the needs of patients, UPMC has several
pharmacies based at hospitals throughout its care network:
Falk Clinic Pharmacy
Conveniently
located on UPMC's Oakland campus, Falk Pharmacy provides
prescription and selected over-the counter medications to:
- hospital employees,
students, and their dependents
- special duty nurses,
chaplains, or similar non-employed professionals on duty at the hospital
- members of the
medical staff and their dependents
- inpatients or emergency
room patients upon discharge (for use at home)
- patients admitted
to the emergency room for treatment
- outpatients (for
use at the hospital)
- outpatients (for
use at home for a reasonable and limited period of time)
- occasional emergency
dispensations to others "as a humanitarian gesture"
Hours
7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
Closed on the following
holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Fourth
of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Psychiatric Institute and Clinic (WPIC) operates the Forbes Pharmacy,
which serves:
- WPIC outpatients
- inpatients upon
discharge (in case of emergency when three-day supplies are needed)
- WPIC-associated
residential treatment facilities
- WPIC-associated
UPMC Braddock rehab unit
- Clozapine patients
within the UPMC
