At UPMC’s IRR we provide our patients with comprehensive rehabilitation services to meet their individualized needs. Your condition may require you to learn new ways of doing daily activities, but our staff is dedicated to helping you recover from injury and regain independence.
Our patients remain our top priority. Each year, thousands of patients turn to the IRR for their rehabilitation needs. Through our team approach, we are determined to help each patient achieve function and independence.
The IRR offers inpatient rehabilitation in seven facilities throughout the area. Services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, nutrition services, behavioral medicine, and orthotic and prosthetic services.
Our outpatient services are designed for those people who need rehabilitation, but who can receive that care outside of an acute care or skilled rehabilitation center. Services include physician services by physiatrists of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and physical and occupational therapy services at one of more than 40 locations of Centers for Rehab Services and hospitals.
