Facial Nerve and TMJ Program

Our specialized physical therapists provide evaluation and treatment for all types of facial paralysis –including Bell’s palsy and TMJ – orofacial pain and temporomandibular disorder (TMD).   We take a multidisciplinary approach to improve facial movement, function, and reduce pain working with ear, nose and throat specialists, plastic surgeons, oral surgeons, and dentists.   

Treatment may include surface electromyography, mirror exercises, and new movement patterns.  We focus on patient education and the development of a home exercise program.
