Geriatric Medicine

Dr. Neil Resnick explains Magee’s Acute Care Transitions (ACT) Program, and the importance of the program for treating geriatric patients.

Geriatric Medicine

Our mission is to enhance the health of older adults by providing superb clinical care, by training others to do the same, and by conducting research to ensure that tomorrow’s care will be better than today’s.

The Division has received national recognition for its efforts in each of these areas. It has been designated a “National Center of Excellence in Geriatric Medicine” by the John A. Hartford Foundation. It has been repeatedly ranked among the top 10 in aging by U.S. News & World Report. Nearly a dozen of its physicians are included in The Best Doctors in America and America’s Top Doctors. Its research efforts in aging are among the most extensive in America, and its educational programs in aging have won local and national awards for both quality and innovation.
