Inpatient Rehabilitation
The UPMC Institute for Rehabilitation and Research offers inpatient acute rehabilitation programs in eight individual facilities – more sites than any other rehabilitation provider in the area.
Unlike stand-alone rehabilitation facilities, IRR programs are located within acute care facilities. This distinction means that the medical services patients may need during the course of rehabilitation are readily available. Physicians, specialists, laboratory services, pharmacy, and imaging technology can be found on-site, eliminating the need to transport patients to other facilities for routine matters or emergency situations.

Physician Services
Physician services through the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation are available in several locations
throughout the area.

Outpatient Therapy Services
The Centers for Rehab Services has more than 40 locations in western Pennsylvania.
