The UPMC Sino-Nasal Disorders and Allergy Division of the Department of Otolaryngology offers testing to accurately diagnose and create customized treatment and therapy for patients suffering from nose, sinus, and allergy problems in order to improve quality of life. The division offers various diagnostic services including allergy testing. It treats sino-nasal disorders with both medications and surgery, if necessary, and also treats allergies with allergy injections, sublingual allergy drops, education, and nutrition counseling.
The team at UPMC’s Center for Snoring and Sleep Surgery strives to correctly diagnose patients with sleep disordered breathing, snoring, and sleep apnea to help alleviate the stress and medical and personal side effects that can result from having one of these disorders. The UPMC ear, nose, and throat specialists work closely with sleep specialists to ensure that therapeutic options are discussed in detail before considering and discussing surgical intervention options for snoring and sleep apnea.
