Continuing Care Retirement Community
Sherwood Oaks, our scenic, 84-acre Cranberry campus of homes, is considered Pittsburgh’s premier retirement community. Just three miles from Cranberry Highlands Golf Course, it offers a fitness center, a pool, an on-site putting green, croquet, a bocce court, and a playground for grandchildren.
Each home has a front entrance and private patio in the rear. There are no stairs to maneuver. You select the colors for the new carpet and freshly painted walls. The kitchen comes fully equipped with appliances, and you can choose to have an in-home washer and dryer. There are four separate emergency alarm systems available to residents, and all homes have smoke detectors. Maintenance on your home and all utilities are included. Your patio home is cleaned weekly by a housekeeper who also delivers your freshly laundered flat linens. Security personnel are on duty 24 hours a day and they also staff the Security Gatehouse at the campus entrance. Scheduled transportation is available every day of the week.
If you, or your spouse, need assisted living or skilled nursing care, these are provided in our fully accredited, on-site health center, at virtually no additional cost. A one-time, refundable entrance fee and a monthly fee secures lifetime use of your own private residence and access to all the community’s services and facilities, including assisted living, nursing care, or care for clients with dementia.
