Our Services

Senior Services

UPMC's main campus is located in Allegheny County, PA, which is home to one of the largest elderly populations in the nation. To meet the often complex needs of older adults, UPMC has grown to encompass not only one of the largest clinical geriatric programs in the country, but also the largest concentration of geriatric psychiatrists. These services can be accessed through UPMC Senior Care – outpatient geriatric centers located at UPMC hospitals.

Add to this clinical expertise a range of community programs geared toward older adults, in-home services available through UPMC HomeCare, the Staying-At-Home and Living-At-Home programs, and a variety of long-term care options through UPMC Senior Communities, and you have a truly comprehensive network of care for seniors.

What’s more, the Aging Institute, a partnership between UPMC Senior Services and the University of Pittsburgh, acts as a referral source, helping older adults and caregivers access information on all senior programs, services, and events available through UPMC and other government- and publicly funded organizations.
