UPMC Kidney Stone Center
The UPMC Department of Urology–UPMC Kidney Stone Center is a multidisciplinary clinic that treats and manages kidney stone disease over the long term. It is geared toward patients who have previously had stone surgery or passed a stone spontaneously. Patients are evaluated for risk factors in stone formation. A team of specialists, including a urologist with specialty training in the management of stone disease, a nephrologist, an endocrinologist, and a nutrition specialist, creates a treatment plan and follows the patient's progress medically over the long term.
