Restylane®

Restylane is made from hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the human body that plumps up the skin. Because Restylane is a natural filler, no allergic testing is needed prior to treatment. This FDA-approved therapy has been used since 1996.

Small amounts of Restylane are injected with a fine needle under moderate to severe wrinkles and lines in the face such as:

• Crow’s feet
• Forehead creases and "laugh lines" (nasolabial folds)

The procedure generally takes 15 to 20 minutes, and you can immediately resume normal activity. A local anesthetic may be used to minimize discomfort.

Results typically last for six months. Your results may last up to 18 months with a follow-up treatment. Side effects may include redness or swelling that lasts less than seven days.
