Types of Head and Neck Tumors
Any tumor located in an area between the head and neck can be treated by the UPMC Division of Head and Neck Tumors. It is very important to have tumors tested to determine if they are malignant (cancerous) or benign (non-cancerous). The following are examples of commonly treated benign and malignant tumors:
- Salivary tumors
- Parathyroid tumors
- Thyroid tumors
- Parotid and submandibular gland tumors
- Minor salivary gland tumors
- Skin cancer
