NeuroendoportSM Surgery

Neuroendoport Illustration

This side view of the brain illustrates how fully endoscopic NeuroendoportSM surgery can be performed on a tumor within the cerebellum. The cerebellum lies in the back of the head behind the brainstem and below the cerebrum. Using the NeuroendoportSM , an 11.5 mm diameter channel is created to access the tumor.

The placement of the NeuroendoportSM is guided by pre-operative imaging in order to avoid critical structures. Through a series of very slow movements, the port is placed with great precision to enhance visualization for the surgeon.
