UPMC Neurovascular Surgery Program

UPMC is among the leading centers in the world for the treatment of brain, spine, and peripheral nerve disorders, and is the largest academic neurosurgical provider in the United States — performing more than 11,000 major procedures each year.

This breadth of experience includes commanding knowledge and expertise in the treatment of aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, cavernous malformations, and other neurovascular conditions.

Our group of highly specialized neurosurgeons uses sophisticated computerized systems and state-of-the-art equipment to thoroughly assess and diagnose each patient's condition and provide an array of treatment options.

The neurovascular team also holds weekly meetings to determine the treatment options that give patients the best chance to return to normal functioning.
