Dr. Kaufmann is clinical assistant professor of neurological surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He specializes in treating degenerative and traumatic spinal disorders, cerebral aneurysms, and brain tumors.
Dr. Kaufmann received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City and completed a surgical internship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. He performed his neurosurgical residency at Montefiore Medical Center and the Hyman-Newman Institute for Neurology and Neurosurgery at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. He is board-certified in neurological surgery.
Dr. Kaufmann is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the Pennsylvania Neurological Society.
