Dr. Altschuler is clinical assistant professor of neurological surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He specializes in intracranial, spinal, and peripheral nerve surgery as well as neurosurgical trauma.
Dr. Altschuler received his medical degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson and completed his neurosurgical residency at the University of Pittsburgh. He is board-certified in neurological surgery.
Dr. Altschuler is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, as well as a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also the immediate past president of the Pennsylvania Neurosurgical Society.
