The skin is the human body's largest organ.

In addition to protecting the muscles, organs, and every other body tissue, it serves as an important temperature and fluid regulation system.

The skin is usually able to heal itself, but some injuries and diseases can make healing more difficult.

Our researchers in the Department of Pathology study:

  • How the skin recovers and repairs itself after an injury or disease
