Our patient stories profile those who are asthma patients at the University of Pittsburgh Asthma Institute at UPMC. Although everyone's care experience is unique, we hope that sharing these stories will help prospective patients and their families better understand these procedures and their potential impact on patients' lives.

Prior to being treated by Dr. Wenzel at the Asthma Institute, Doris Coletta experienced severe asthma without much hope of feeling better.

A patient of UPMC since 2007, Doris is determined to live each day to the fullest, with the help of her team of asthma specialists.

She recently retired, and is looking forward to enjoying time with friends and family and doing the things she loves.
