Rehabilitation Services

Rehabilitation services are an integral part of the complete care program available to residents at Heritage Place. On-site rehabilitation programs include:

  • Physical therapy
  • Occupational therapy
  • Speech therapy
  • Restorative nursing, including:
    • Exercise
    • Walking
    • Socialization
    • Activities of daily living
    • Splinting programs

Transitional Programs

Sometimes patients need more concentrated rehabilitation as the next step in their recovery process.

The UPMC Rehabilitation Institute’s transitional rehab unit at Heritage Place meets the needs of patients being discharged from the hospital or acute care setting. These patients require additional therapy before returning home.
