Outpatient Transplant Service Center

The UPMC Transplant Patient Services Unit on 7 West is an outpatient unit that specializes in the care and treatment of adult patients during the pretransplant and posttransplant phase who have returned safely back to community living, or were recently discharged from their acute care stay for surveillance. 

Patients visit the unit daily for testing, biopsies, administration of blood products and medications, paracentesis, and plasmapheresis.
