Charitable Remainder Trusts

Remainder trusts allow you to make a deferred gift to UPMC while providing a guaranteed income stream to one or more individuals.

You will receive an immediate income tax deduction based on the value of the assets which fund the trust. The income you receive can be fixed or based on a percentage of the size of the trust.

Charitable remainder trusts also are an effective tool for moving appreciated assets from your taxable estate.

For additional information about planning your gift for the benefit of UPMC, please contact our Director of Planned Giving, Lisa Sciullo at 412-647-0515.

The material presented in this web site is not offered as legal or tax advice. You are urged to seek the advice of your tax advisor, attorney, and/or financial planner to make certain a contemplated gift fits well into your overall circumstances and planning.
