The purpose of the UPMC Quality Annual Report is to share with the public selected data about UPMC’s historical performance on several clinical process measures commonly reported by the Center for Medicare Services and other health care industry organizations. The reported measures are not intended to provide a comprehensive picture of clinical quality and services at all UPMC facilities. Rather, they provide illustrative but partial information on selected clinical programs. The data summarized in the Quality Annual Report applies to the entire UPMC health system. Results for individual UPMC hospitals and other provider locations may vary from these reported statistics.
