Licensing and Certification
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania requires that any physician entering a medical residency or fellowship training program in the State of Pennsylvania obtain a graduate medical training license.
This process takes a minimum of sixty days.
Once issued, the license is only valid for the dates, specialty, PGY level and hospital that are listed on the license. To learn more, visit the Pennsylvania Department of State website.
