Nursing highlights

The nurses at UPMC Bedford Memorial work in a close-knit environment and are dedicated to providing quality health care to the surrounding community. We offer nurses many exciting specialties in which to grow, including medical-surgical, intensive care, cardiac monitoring, emergency care, and stroke telemedicine.

Our nurses are continually supported in their nursing practice by hospital physicians who are available on-site or on an on-call basis, around the clock.

UPMC Bedford Memorial nurses have a voice in their practice through shared governance, with each unit having representation on the Professional Practice Council. Our facility implemented a casual float tier, which allows more flexibility with scheduling.
