Nursing highlights
UPMC Horizon nurses have the opportunity to work in a variety of specialty units including critical care, telemetry, medical-surgical, procedural and perioperative areas, or in the UPMC Horizon Birthplace.
Our nurses have the opportunity to have their voices heard through committees. From our Professional Practice Council to the Patient Care Service Peer Review Council, organizational leaders rely on the experience, expertise, and opinions of our nurses to drive nursing practice. That’s why our Evidence-Based Nursing Council is taking the lead on assuring that the care we provides integrates best evidence, clinician expertise, patient preferences and values, and available resources.
