Part of UPMC Senior Communities, Seneca Place is a skilled nursing facility situated on a campus that includes Seneca Manor Assisted Living and Seneca Hills Village, an independent senior community.

Nursing highlights

The nurses at Seneca Place work in an advanced community setting. We offer nurses many exciting specialties in which to grow. Among the career opportunities available to nurses are rehabilitation services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. We specialize in intensive wound care, IV antibiotics, pain management, and medical-surgical patients. Nurses are trained to provide care for ventilator assistive device patients.

One wing of Seneca Place accommodates care needs for high respiratory patients including tracheostomy patients.

We are one of the first skilled nursing facilities in the state to implement a voice activated, continuous access system used by all caregivers. This technology provides the ability for the team to have up-to-the-minute patient information.

Nurses also are given the opportunity to advance through the Geriatric Advancement Program, a clinical career ladder that offers career and financial opportunities.

The day of your interview, parking is available anywhere on the campus. Enter through the main entrance, identify yourself as an interviewee, and ask for directions to proceed.
Your interview will include meeting with the Human Resources consultant as well as the director of nursing/assistant director of nursing.
You also will tour the facility and the unit to learn more about the position in which you are interested.

After accepting an offer

As part of your physical, blood work will be done through an outside facility, and the remainder will be completed at the facility.
You will be scheduled for orientation based on your position.
