UPMC Vital Staffing offers nurses the opportunity to experience a variety of specialties and settings, while enjoying benefits only available to UPMC nurses. Choose to work per diem or full-time, based on your personal needs.

Vital Staffing’s flexible full-time positions offer agency level pay in addition to our UPMC benefits package, which includes paid time off and tuition assistance. For nurses interested in working occasionally or supplementing their current job, we offer casual positions with maximum flexibility.

Before your interview

On the day of your interview, free parking is available on Shady Avenue or side streets, or there is a metered parking lot directly across from our entrance on Shady Avenue.
Upon entering the building, take the elevators to the second floor and go to the last door on the right.
Bring your nursing license and CPR/ACLS cards to the interview. Original documents are required.
During the interview, a recruiter will discuss your preferences for assignment type, specialty area, and shifts.

After accepting an offer

Once you have accepted an offer, our Human Resources team will schedule you for a pre-employment physical, which is often performed at the Oakland office.
Orientation is held every other Friday at the Vital Staffing office starting at 9 a.m. Bring your photo ID and Social Security card for your I-9 documentation.
During orientation, free parking is available on Shady Avenue or side streets, or there is a metered parking lot directly across from our entrance on Shady Avenue.
