Endophthalmitis
Endophthalmitis is a serious condition involving swelling (inflammation) within the eyeball.
Causes, incidence, and risk factors
Endophthalmitis is most often caused by infection with bacteria or other microorganisms. It can also occur as a rare complication of cataract
or other eye surgery.
Symptoms
The symptoms are:

- Redness

Swelling of the eyelids
If you have these symptoms after eye surgery, call your health care provider immediately.
