MedCall: Physician Referrals, Consults, and Patient Transfers

MedCall is UPMC’s advanced physician-to-physician resource for all aspects of referrals, consults, and patient transfers.

By using MedCall, physicians receive assistance with urgent and nonurgent referrals, all transfer and transportation arrangements, consultations, and follow-up information regarding their patients’ progress. Through MedCall, physicians can consult with specialists throughout UPMC.

MedCall covers referrals, consults, admissions, transfers, air transports, and patient follow-up information.

On Demand enables community physicians to gain timely access to test results, medical records, and other information for patients hospitalized or treated at UPMC.
