In addition to clinical consultative teleservices, the UPMC Telemedicine Program provides world-class educational opportunities for physicians located outside of Pittsburgh.

Telehealth technology affords health care professionals the ability to collaborate and learn from experts in the field, while practicing in their local offices.

UPMC has also made a strong commitment to testing telemedicine delivery models to ensure that the current system is meeting and exceeding the expectations of the patients and providers who use the service. 

Using comparative effectiveness research methods, UPMC is consistently innovating the delivery of telemedicine.
