Our services:

Free Wellness Wednesday Education Series

Join medical experts and learn about a variety of topics. Classes are the third Wednesday of each month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. - arrival time is 6 p.m., in the classroom on the second floor of UPMC Outpatient Center in Hampton.

Light refreshments will be served at 6 p.m. The programs will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. There is no fee but registration is required.

Wednesday, May 16, 2018 - Workshop: Back Boot Camp — Spring to Action

This program will cover how the spine works, common conditions related to low back pain, and tips to make sure you and your back are ready to tackle your chores.

Behavioral Health Care

The licensed clinical social worker works with your primary care doctor to provide short-term assessments and behavioral health counseling.

We can help with concerns such as:

  • Anger management
  • Depression
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Self-image
  • Stress
  • Addiction
  • Relational, parenting, and aging problems

Our behavioral health specialist has expert training in:

  • Psychotherapy
  • Assessment and diagnosis
  • Substance abuse treatment
  • Crisis management

If you need longer term care or complex treatment, we can connect you with the right resources and providers.

Treatment may require a referral from your PCP.


Children’s Community Pediatrics (CCP) — HealthQuest

Diabetes Education

For people living with diabetes, our experts can help you better understand and manage your disease.

Our experts have training in prediabetes and diabetes prevention, and will help with:

  • Medication management and adjustments
  • Changes in diet
  • Plan development

They can also make suggestions to your other health care providers.

Please contact our office in advance, as this service requires a referral from your PCP.


Medical Social Worker (MSW)

Our MSW can:

  • Assess social, emotional, environmental, financial, and support needs.
  • Work with you, your PCP, and family to help arrange care among other services.
  • Help those who may be living with a chronic degenerative illness, terminal illness, or mental illness.
  • Assist with other social, financial, emotional, or housing issues.
  • Help patients after discharge from a hospital or with the transition to another level of care.

UPMC Primary Care Walk-in Center

Hours

Monday through Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.;
Weekends: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

We provide convenient access to primary care for people with a busy lifestyle.

Some of our walk-in services include:

  • Acute care and treatment for minor conditions
  • Physicals
  • Vaccinations

If your health insurance plan requires a copay, the cost for the Walk-in Center visit may be at the primary care copay.


Wellness Guide

Our extensively trained and experienced medical assistant offers self-management support for people with new or uncontrolled chronic disease.

Our wellness guide can help with health care goals from your PCP, such as:

  • Quitting smoking
  • Increasing physical activity
  • Losing weight
  • Improving nutrition
