Stephen M. Danch

Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, UPMC Hamot Stephen M. Danch

Stephen M. Danch was appointed senior vice president and chief financial officer of Hamot Medical Center (now UPMC Hamot) in 1989. As chief financial officer, he is responsible for developing, interpreting, coordinating, and administering policies on finance and related issues in support of the corporation's goals and objectives. Since joining Hamot in 1980, Mr. Danch has served in many management capacities.

Prior to joining the organization, Mr. Danch served in the audit department of Root, Spitnas, and Smiley, Certified Public Accountants, from 1975 through 1980, where he was promoted from staff accountant to senior accountant and ultimately to manager.

Mr. Danch earned a bachelor's degree and an MBA from Gannon University. Mr. Danch has been a certified public accountant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since 1977. Currently, he serves on the Board of Marquette Savings Bank. He previously served on the Boards of NATO/Martin Luther King Center, Alex Thompson Housing Corporation, Salvation Army Temple Corps, and Cathedral Prep High School Soccer Boosters.
